1.0 Introduction:

WTY-DumpConfigData dumps the systems configuration data into a HTML file. The data is not processed except for sorting and determining the hardware hierarchy. The programs output is useful for advanced user only since it may require interpretation. It most useful purpose is finding the source of cryptic low-level error messages containing hardware ids.

4.0 Installing and using WTY-DumpConfigData

4.1 Installing WTY-DumpConfigData

WTY-DumpConfigData does not require any setup. Make sure all the files from the archive are in the same folder and start the executable.

4.2 Uninstalling WTY-DumpConfigData

WTY-DumpConfigData does not add any registry entries. Just remove the installed files to remove this application.

4.3 Using WTY-DumpConfigData

When the program is started it will ask whether to create the config dump file. If you select 'Yes' the file will be created and opened in the default web browser afterwards.

The output file shows most of the data using the names as found in the DDK. Blocks with blue captions are retrieved as Setup Classes. The blocks with the blue captions are enumerated interfaces. The program iterates all device interfaces found in the registry.
