NCQ, Native command queuing

Native command queuing is only supported on SATA units which allow true two way communication between host adapter and attached devices. NCQ differs from Command Queuing in the fact that it can be used automatically. The SATA device knows which data can be accessed faster and what caching algorithms are used, this result in a protocol where devices and host adapter work closely together and where the drive is allowed to initiate transfers and report status information asynchronously.
